Debutant director K P P Naveen speaks about Nellai Sandhipu
Director K P P Naveen while speaking about his film Nellai Sandhipu said,” The story of this film is about a fake encounter and the problems that arise in the family.
We are making this film as a wholesome family film. Through this film we are introducing a new face Rohit as hero. Devika is pairing with him. She had acted as a flower seller in the film Vaalmiki. Mega Nair is another heroine of this film. Director Raja is donning an important role in this film. Meera Krishnan is donning the role of the heroe’s mother.
Nadodigal Lakshmi and Devaraj are also starring in this film. To act as encounter specialists, three actors were required. So I selected producer P L Thenappan, director Saravana Subbiah and Sami Dev. I chose Thenappan for the role of the villain because of his eyes and his pan chewing habit.
Initially he refused to act. He was very stubborn. But somehow I forced him to do the role. In the similar way I had to force the other two to act in these roles. The highlight of this film is about the cinematographer Sevilo Rajan who had handled the camera for Em Magan has handled the camera for this film. He has used two types of color for this film.
He has used one color for the family sequences and another color for the encounter scenes. He was always shooting the whole film with the camera on his shoulders. He has not used the stand even for one scene. Yugendaran who is the son of Malaysia Vasudevan has composed the music for the film. Andal Priyadarshini, Eknath and Nellai Bharathi have penned the lyrics.”
