The most versatile actor and filmmaker of Malayalam film industry ‘Cochin’ Haneefa passed away this evening after his private fight with liver problem. Aged 61, the actor is survived by his wife and two children.‘Cochin’ Haneefa kick-started his acting career in villainous shades and later transcended as a comedian. Apart from acting in around 300 Malayalam films, the actor was very much happening in Tamil Film Industry as well.Much before commencing his acting career, he was into stage acting and also directed some spellbinding films like ‘Valsalyam’ that turned to be a box office blockbuster.Haneefa won laurels for his hilarious roles in recent Tamil releases – ‘Modhi Vilayaadu’ and Vijay’s ‘Vettaikaran’. At present, he had filmed for Aarya starrer ‘Madrasapattinam’.Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.
