Aayirathal Oruvan Is Not Competition
Pongal means a rain of films and this time two biggies Selvaraghavan’s Aayirathil Oruvan and his brother Dhanush’s Kutty are due for release amongst others. So does director Mithran Jawahar feel the heat of competition with other films like Goa and Ayirathil…?“Aayirathil Oruvan is not competition for us. Neither is any other film. There are viewers for every type of film and audience taste varies. Kutty is a different genre from the others and I feel we have a market and audience for such college stories like ours as well. Just as Yaaradi Nee Mohini had several repeat audiences, so too Kutty will get in repeat footfalls, I am sure,” says Mithran Jawahar.Let’s hope his optimism pays off.
