Sunaina’s miraculous escape
Sunaina made her debut as heroine in the film Kadhalil Vizhundhen. After this she acted in Maasilamani. Now she is acting in a film titled Yathumagi which has been produced BY Chozha Productions.
It was planned to shoot a song sequence in Bangkok. The hero Sachin, the heroine Sunaina, director Balakumar, cinematographer Muhammad Naseer, producer Chozha Ponnurangam along with his two daughters flew to Bangkok.
The song sequence with the line Yaro Yaro was to be shot in an island called No Man Island which is situated 30 kms away from Bangkok. The crew went to this island in three boats. The shooting also was taking place in the island.
The guides who had accompanied the crew had warned them not to shoot after 4 pm. But the crew was not bothered about the warning continued the shooting till 6 PM. After completing the shooting crew left in two boats. Hero Sachin, heroine Sunaina, director Balakumar and producer along with his two daughters boarded another boat after much delay.All of a sudden there was heavy rain.
The person who steered the boat did not know the way because of the heavy rain and poor visibility. Finally he was able to spot some lights on the shore, so he tried to reach the shores as fast as he can. But the over speed capsized the boat.
All the members in the boat were flung into the ocean. But since they were wearing life jackets, they were able to cling to capsized boats. Fortunately they were saved by a person who was passing that side in another boat. Sunaina says that she was saved because of the God’s grace.
Genelia opposite Dhanush
The original directed by Sreenu Vaitla featured Ram and Genelia in the lead roles. To be produced by Mohan Apparao and Chandra Ramesh, the Tamil version will go on floors soon.
According to the producers, "there was a huge demand for the remake rights of the movie. Thank Almighty, we won the bid. The movie is a mix of action, romance and sentiments."
Mithran Jawahar, who directed Dhanush for 'Yaaradi Nee Mohini' and the to-be released
'Kutty', is wielding the megaphone for this one too. The movie is currently being remade in Kannada starring Puneeth Rajakumar and Priyamani in lead roles.

Bhoomika wants to direct a film
Bhoomika who married the yoga master stopped acting and started producing films along with him. But offers were pouring on her.
Bhoomika who was acting in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Bhojpuri language films got an offer in a Malayalam film.
Currently she is acting in Tamil films Kalavadiya Pozhudhugal and Maa.She is also acting in three Telugu films. She is also producing a Telugu film titled Thagida Thagida. Bhoomika says her aim is to get the National Award.
While speaking about this she said,” I am currently producing a Telugu film titled Thagida Thagida.In future I will be producing Tamil and Hindi films. I am pairing with Prabhu Deva in the film titled Kalavadiya Pozhudhugal.
Prakash Raj is also acting in this film. I am happy to act with him. Though I have got Nandhi and other awards, my ambition is to get the National Award. Like how I became a producer I also want to become a director. I am also getting the script ready. When the time comes I will become a director.”
Namitha hot entry into Malayalam film world
Namitha has given a hot entry into the Malayalam film world. The title of the film is Nil Gavani Ennai Kadhali. Directors Pramodh and Bappan while speaking about this film said,” This film is a cocktail of action and glamour.
We are making this film in Tamil and Malayalam languages. Namitha dons the role of a top dancer. Kalabavanmani and Anbu Bala are in love with Namitha. But Namitha some how manages the two and slip away without being entangled.
At one point Namitha’s father gets murdered. But the person who murders her father is one among the two who loves her. How she spots the person is the story of this film.” When asked them that whether usual Namitha will not be there, Bappan one of the directors said,” That is why we have kept five songs. So, don’t worry be happy.”
Asin says no to Ashutosh
It has been a roller coaster ride for Asin this far in Bollywood with her Ghajini doing super good and her London dreams bombing at the box office.

Vedhika says she is a friendly girl
Vedhika made her debut in the film titled Madarasi. She paired with Arjun in this film. After this film she paired with Lawrence in Muni, with Simbhu in Kalai, with Santhanu in Sakkarakatti and with Arun Vijay in Malai Malai.
She has completed one Telugu film titled Vaana. Vedhika had recently come to Chennai to listen to a story. While speaking about her to the media, she said,” I was born and brought up in Mumbai. Right from my small age I was interested in dancing and acting.
I have studied B Sc (Admn) at USA and completed my M Sc (Marketing) in London. My mother was very supportive in my interests. My brother also use to encourage me a lot. But we use to fight now and then. Our family is the jolliest. I happened to meet Arjun after coming to India. He asked me whether I have got interest for acting.
I nodded immediately. After this the screen test was made. Arjun who was impressed made me act in Madarasi. I acted in my first film with the big actor Arjun. After this I acted with big stars like Lawrence, Simbhu and Arun Viajy. I am really proud because of this.I like to act in all type of roles. I am not very particular about the role.
But the role should have importance in the story. I also want to act in dual roles as well as in negative roles. I don’t know whether this will be fulfilled. I have not come to act with the intention of making money or fame. I had come to act because of the passion I have for cinema. I want to earn a good name.
I am very careful that I should not earn a name that I am a vulgar actress. Kamal Haasan is my favorite actor in Tamil. Sree Devi is my favourite actress. In fact she is my role model. Many are asking me about ambition.
My ambition is to act in lot of films and earn a good name. I am a peace loving friendly person. After Malai Malai I got lot of offers but I did not accept because there was no importance for the role. I am listening to lot of stories. That is why I had come to Chennai.”
