Is Raja to remake ‘Orange’ with Vijay?
It has become so common these days that when ‘Jeyam’ Raja announces his next project, people are instantly Google through the list of Telugu movies with a curiosity over finding the original film to be remade. Likely, actor Vijay has also been getting through the same phase as buzzes are this upcoming film ‘Vettaikaran’ is a remake of Telugu movie ‘Vinayakudu’.
Now, the official confirmation has been made about ‘Jeyam’ Raja directing actor Vijay’s 51st movie with Aascar Ravichandran producing it. But again, the doubts have been raised whether this film too is a remake of Telugu movie. It’s worth mentioning that ‘Jeyam’ Raja’s close friend ‘Bommarillu’ Bhaskar is busy shooting for a romantic entertainer titled ‘ORANGE’ starring Ram Charan Teja and Genelia D’Souza in lead roles. Maybe, Raja would remake this film as Vijay is badly looking out for a different kind of remake barring the overdosed stunts.
Let’s keep waiting for the sources to throw more light on this project.
So, let’s hope the remake ‘Rajahs’ will give some good movie this time.
Kalloori Kaalangal - One more college campus story
Every time, a filmmaker is set to churn out a college campus based flick, he assures that it’s gonna be completely different from the other films made on same themes. But again, they’re tend to beat the same bush with old-rotten ideas. But here comes filmmaker Remo Siva launching his ‘Kalloori Kaalangal’ based on college based love story.
Says Remo: ‘It has got a different storyline and delineates how hero proposes love to the girl and how mobile phones have become handy these days.’ The film features newcomers Sukumar and Priyanka Chandra in lead roles and shooting is scheduled to hit the floors by November across various locales in Erode, Yercaud and Hyderabad.

Nila says that acting is her part time job
Nila made her debut in the film A Aah. While interacting with the media she said that acting his part time job. When asked her why she said,” Cinema is a good career.
Many are trying to get into this. Actor and actress wait for 5 to 6 years to get the name and fame. But for me the name and fame came to me in an overnight. I am really happy about this. There are lots of ups and downs in this field. We will have to bear with it.
I have met a lot of people with different characters in this field. All these are unexpected experiences. In fact these have taught me a lot of lessons. I am acting in two Hindi films. The shooting of these films will commence in January.
For time being I will not disclose the director and hero names. With regard to Tamil films, lot of scenes pertaining to me in the film Jaganmohini was deleted. I am little upset over this. But because of this I will not quit Tamil films.
I have decided not to accept Tamil films for one year. With regard to my marriage I am in search of my life partner. I am yet to get him. Once I spot him I will get married immediately. “
Perarasu speaks about Tirutani
Perarasu said that Tirutani is a social film with action formula. While speaking about this film, he said, “How can a man come up in life without selfishness?
A person cannot succeed with physical strength alone. He should also have mental strength. This is the theme of Tirutani. Gym master Bharath and Rajkiran are friends residing in the same colony. Bharath has been victimized by politician Ashish Vidhyarthi.
How Bharath settles the score with him is narrated in a commercial, action oriented sentiment way. Actress Sunaina has acted in a suspense role. Pandiarajan, M S Bhaskar and Chittibabu are also starring in this film. Many are asking me whether this is a God man story.
I had already made this God man story through the film Thiruvanamalai. I will not make one more God man story. The shooting of Tirutani took place in Chennai. Now the shooting will take place in Tirutani. Two songs are to be shot in New Zealand. I am planning to release this film on Pongal day.”
Jai says that action image is important for a hero
Adhey Neram Adhey Idam which has Jai in the lead role is being released this Friday. While speaking about this to the media people, he said,” This film will be totally different from my earlier films.
I can also say this is my first action film. So far I have not done action oriented hero role. I have taken risk while doing the stunt scenes. After this film I will get the action hero image.
If people accept me as action hero, they will accept me in any role. But if I am stuck in any other image, it will be very difficult to become an action hero. In that way this film Adhey Neram Adhey Idam will be an important film in my career.”

Vasundra says that she is scared of water
Vasundra said that acting in Peraanmai was a new experience for her. While speaking to the media she said.” Most of the shooting of Peranmai took place in the dense forests.
Since I had the experience in trekking I did not find it difficult to climb the mountains. But I am scared of water. So acting in water scenes I was little careful. Another four heroines acted with me in this film. But there were no problem between us.
There was news that I had difference of opinion with director Jananathan. I was not well one day during the shooting. I had come back after informing the director. False news was spread regarding this. There is no problem between us.
Talks are going on with regard to me acting in two films. Many are asking me whether I will act in glamour roles. I don’t mind acting in such roles if the story demands.”
Is Aarya casting Nila in his production?
Actor Aarya is well known for very often getting linked up with actresses. But the most salient actresses who’ve been regularly spotted in the gossips columns are Pooja and Aarya. Both the actresses have been sharing a great kind of relationship with the charming lad.

The latest to follow the queue is none other than our ‘Kadhal’ Sandhya. The actress has become an ardent devotee of Goddess Shyamalamman as she is rigidly involved in prayers.
When approached Sandhya, she said, “Definitely, not for the sake of chances. But I’m praying for good luck.”

Rambha apologizes to Chief Minister
Actress Rambha was almost despaired with incurrence of heavy loss and had no ideaabout getting along with her life. It was at this point of time; the actress received aphone call from the office of Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi and was offered to perform a prominent role in ‘Pen Singam’.
But as she geared up for the project, her multilingual film ‘Quick Gun Murugan’ became a big hit across the globe. As a result, the actress started receiving more offers and indeed a renowned Canada based corporate company appointed as brand ambassador. Since, she got more occupied with those activities; the actress couldn’t take part in the shooting schedules of ‘Pen Singam’.
As a result, director Baali eliminated her from the project. As well Rambha who didn’t regret for the loss approached Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi and apologized for having for her indiscipline and now the entire team is in search of other actress to replace Rambha…
Rejected scripts becoming successful films
Most of the times, it happens in Tamil film industry that rejected scripts just turn out to big tickets in box office. Splendidly, ‘Chennai 600028’, ‘Nadodigal’ and more films off that sort have been the best exemplifications.
During an important juncture pertaining to ‘Chennai 600028’, actor Madhavan confessed his open statement saying – “When Venkat Prabhu screened the film, I just made a open judgment that this film will not be a hit. But now, I really regret for having been so immature in judging a good film.”
Likely, the recent release ‘Nadodigal’ has a terrific story in the past. As couple of Samuthirakani’s filmsincluding ‘Neranja Manasu’ turned to be flops, the filmmaker couldn’t get a better producer. He seems to have narrated the script to more producers for 5 years and none of them came forward toproduce it.
Not patently these ones, but there has been more films that were rejected by many producers and finally made it bigger than expected at box office.
Once director Gowtham Menon stated that when he approached Madhavan for ‘Minnale’, the actor requested him to narrate the story for Manirathnam as he had believed him to be his mentor…. But the ace filmmaker just came up with a brief conclusion that the film will not be a successful one. In contrast, it turned to be biggest blockbuster of the season.

Sneak Look of ‘Siddhu +2, First attempt’ songs Actor Vijay and producer Kalaipuli S Dhanu launched the audio of “Siddhu +2, First Attempt’. It was a star-spangled occasion as who’s who of Kollywood were present for the occasion.
The film’s audio was launched amidst much fanfare at Satyam Cinemas by Actor Vijay while producer Kalaipuli S Dhanu of V Creations received the first copy. Producer AVM Saravanan was the guest of honour, while members of TFPC (President Rama Narayanan, Sivasakthi Pandian and others), Kalaipuli G Sekaran and many others were present.
The film has three young musicians: Dharan, Thaman S and Babu Shankar scoring the music.
Dharan has tuned the mesmerizing melody “Poove Poove’ crooned by Yuvan Shankar Raja and Chinmayi. The beats are mild and simple with perfect orchestration. As well there is a remix version which features the voice of Yuvan alone. The other two numbers scored by Dharan are “Naan Alana Thamarai’ and “Kelu Kelu’.
“Naan Alana Thamarai’ is a remix version of yesteryear sensational song of Bhagyaraj himself. Filmmaker Venkat Prabhu, Sri Madhumitha and Suchitra have rendered their voice.
Thaman S of “Eeram’ fame has scored music for “Gundu Chattikkule’ –a fast beat peppy song crooned by Ranjith, Naveen and Rahul Nambiyar.
Babu Shankar has tuned melodies for “Money…Money’ for which he has penned the lyrics too. Benny Dayal and Reshmi have delivered the track in their melodious voice.
Says the director Bhagyaraj: “The fathers of both Yuvan Shankar Raja (Maestro Ilaiyaraaja) and Venkat Prabhu (Gangai Amaran) have worked me with in numerous projects. And now, I am really happy that the young blood is working together too. Yuvan has rendered his voice for a melodious song “Poove Poove’ while Venkat Prabhu for “Aalana Thamarai’…”
Simbhu finds a new mom
Actor Silambarasan has now completed penning script for his upcoming film ‘Vaaliban’. The film is produced by SS Chakravarthy and was supposed to take off by August 2009. Unfortunately as Gowtham Menon started shooting for Telugu version of ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya’, the shooting of Tamil version featuring him and Trisha in lead roles was stalled.
Gradually, now the ‘Little Superstar’ has made use of this time to complete the script works of ‘Vaaliban’. According to the closer sources of Simbhu, it has been revealed that the film will startrolling in January after he completes pending portions of ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya’. The young actor is still in search of heroine and has roped in ace actress Urvasi to perform his mother’ role. It’s worth mentioning that Urvasi has been playing mother’s role in most of the Tamil releases including Jeeva’s ‘Siva Manasula Sakthi’ and ‘Vamanan’.
Tamil film producer to produce a Hollywood film
Aascar Films V Ravichandran who produced Kadhalukku Mariyadhai, Vaanathai Pola and Dasavatharam is producing a Hollywood film. This high budgeted film is being produced at a cost of Rs 200 Crores.
Jackie Chan is doing the lead role. Other cast and crew is being finalized now. This is a first time a Tamil film producer is producing a Hollywood film. Apart from this he is producing a Tamil film which has Vijay in the lead, a Telugu film which has Nagarjuna in the lead role and a Malayalam film which has Mammooty in the lead.
M Raja will be directed the Tamil film which has Vijay in the cast. Two leading actresses will act in this film. The shooting of this film will commence in the last week of January.
Meena in the Kannada remake of Tamil film Varavu Ettana Selavu Pathana
Tamil film Varavu Ettana Selavu Pathana which had Nasar, Radhika, Goundamani, Senthil, Vadivelu and Kovai Sarala in the cast was released 12 years ago.
This super hit film was directed by V Sekar. G R who produced Tamil films like Manu Needhi, Sound Party, Kaasu Irrukannum and Enga Raasi is producing the Kannada remake of the Tamil filmVaravu Ettana Selavu Pathana.
Ramesh Aravind is doing the lead role in this film. Meena is pairing with him. This is the first film Meena is acting after her marriage. The shooting of this film is to commence on 9th November. V Sekar is directing this film. Producer G R while speaking about this film said,”
Varavu Ettana Selavu Pathana is a best comedy film. Earlier films like Viraluketha Veekam and Naan Pudicha Maapilai directed by V Sekar were remade in Kannada. These films were great hits. That is why I am remaking this film.
Kannada actors and actresses highly respect the producers. Even big actors will stand up and greet us. That is also one of the reasons that instigated me to produce a Kannada film. I felt Meena would suit the heroine role. So we approached her for call sheet. She also readily agreed. Ramesh Aravind is also a popular hero there. Hence we have casted him in the lead role.”

Thamanna hikes her pay to Rs One Crore
Thamanna is busy these days in Tamil and Telugu films. The film Kandein Kadhali wherein she paired with Bharath has been released today.
She had earlier paired with Surya in Ayan and Dhanush in Padikadhavan. She is currently pairing with Karthi in Paiya, Jayam Ravi in Thillalangadi and Vijay in Sura. Since she is flooded with offers she has increased her salary to Rs 1 Crore.
She was approached to pair with Ram Charan in a Telugu film. She has demanded Rs 1 Crore as salary. Lingusamy is directing this film. Earlier Trisha and Nayanthara had fixed their salary as Rs 1 Crore but they have agreed to reduce few lakhs if they liked the story.
